The mouth serves as an entry point to the body. Diseases originating in the mouth can have extensive effects, especially for those with limited access to dental services. Additionally, poor oral health can adversely impact a person's career. People in low- and middle-income require increased dental care. Madagascar possesses just one fully accredited dental university. It is important to support hospitality and tourism communities that have limited access to essential dental healthcare.
Challenge
Poor oral hygiene can hinder career progression for front office employees in the hospitality and tourism sector for several reasons. Discolored or missing teeth can create negative impressions. It can also reflect poorly on the company, especially in roles that involve direct interaction with clients, such as receptionists, tour guides, and travel agents. Additionally, it may lead to assumptions about an individual's self-discipline, causing them to be perceived as lazy or having made poor lifestyle choices.
Solution
A smile can effectively communicate confidence, enthusiasm, and friendliness, traits that employers appreciate in their staff. We are collaborating with local partners to guarantee that our beneficiaries' fundamental human rights are fulfilled. Educating the community is crucial for achieving dental health equity. This can be accomplished by conducting community outreach programs to combat detrimental practices that negatively impact oral health and by recommending nutritious foods that promote healthy teeth.
